Kaitlin Akif, MPH, recently joined the Healthcare Delivery Research Program as a Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) in the Office of the Associate Director.
Prior to becoming a PMF, Kaitlin was a Research Coordinator at Westat for the Children’s Health Exposure Analysis Resource (CHEAR). In this role, Kaitlin had multiple responsibilities, including managing the workflow of CHEAR projects and Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes projects; coordinating logistical aspects, and providing administrative support for CHEAR meetings; and maintaining records of CHEAR publications and outreach efforts.
Kaitlin received her MPH with a focus in Epidemiology from George Washington University in 2017. While completing her MPH, she was inducted into the George Washington University chapter of Delta Omega. Kaitlin also worked as a Public Health intern at the Children’s National Medical Center, where she was able to preliminarily evaluate the Pediatric Emergency Department enhanced Sexually Transmitted Infection program. Kaitlin also has a Bachelor’s in Science with honors from the University of Arizona, majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Chemistry.
