Alina Majid

Alina Majid, MPH, is a NCI Communications Fellow in the Office of the Associate Director of the Healthcare Delivery Research Program. She will work with Dr. Janet de Moor on science and health communication projects, as well as program operations initiatives. Alina is passionate about developing communications that acknowledge the audience's lived experiences and prioritizing their informational needs.

Alina received her MPH, with a concentration in Behavioral and Community Health, from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD). During her MPH program, she worked on science communications projects focused on translating scientific and health information into understandable materials for lay audiences. She collaborated with research teams and subject matter experts, as well as the UMD Herschel S. Horowitz Center for Health Literacy. Alina has a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from UMD.
