SEER-MHOS flag in SEER*Stat

There is now a flag available in SEER*StatExternal Web Site Policy that identifies SEER patients that responded to the MHOS surveys, as well as the number of surveys before and after diagnosis. This will allow you to determine a rough estimate of the number of individuals who have been diagnosed with the cancer site you are interested in studying and have completed the MHOS before and after being diagnosed.

To gain access to the SEER*Stat customized database with access to these MHOS indicators, you need to follow these steps:

  1. If you do not have a current SEER*Stat account, please submit a request for accessExternal Web Site Policy.
  2. Send an e-mail to SEER custom data to gain access to the MHOS customized SEER database. In the e-mail, include your name and your SEER*Stat username.
  3. Refer to the following instructions for obtaining estimated frequencies on the number of individuals and MHOS surveys that will be available in SEER-MHOS for your analysis.

As this is a free tool and we are tracking its use, please do not share access to the customized database. Advise anyone who is interested in obtaining access to this tool to follow the above steps.
