Purpose
This webinar provides an overview of NCI’s re-issued notice of funding opportunity (NOFO), Intervening with Cancer Caregivers to Improve Patient Health Outcomes and Optimize Health Care Utilization (Clinical Trial Optional) [PAR-19-352 (R01), PAR-19-355 (R21)]. This NOFO invites applications for intervention research designed to support caregivers of adult cancer patients. Interventions supported by this NOFO are intended to provide caregivers with care training, promote coping skills, and ultimately help them manage care. Outcomes of such interventions are expected to (1) optimize patient health care utilization, (2) improve caregiver well-being, and (3) improve patient physical health and psychosocial outcomes.
