NCI Pre-Application Webinar for RFA-CA-19-033: Improving Outcomes for Pediatric, Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors
Background
The National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) hosted a webinar on January 31, 2019 to discuss RFA-CA-19-033, Improving Outcomes for Pediatric, Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Survivors (U01 Clinical Trial Required).
This notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) will support applications to develop and test interventions that prevent, mitigate, or manage adverse outcomes in pediatric and/or adolescent/young adult (AYA) cancer survivors and/or evaluate models of care that strengthen coordination, continuity, and care quality, or that reduce access barriers to needed services including follow-up care, and that improve outcomes across the survivor’s lifespan.
This webinar explains the goals and objectives for the NOFO and also answers attendee questions.
Note: RFA-CA-19-033 is associated with the Childhood Cancer Survivorship, Treatment, Access, and Research (STAR) Act of 2018 that is intended to maximize and accelerate discovery, development, and availability of promising childhood cancer treatments. It is also associated with the Beau Biden Cancer MoonshotSM Initiative that is intended to accelerate cancer research.
