Background

In this webinar, representatives from three Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) programs provide an overview of the funding opportunities below and answer attendee questions. Note: Grantee questions about specific research aims are not addressed.

  • Approaches to Identify and Care for Individuals with Inherited Cancer Syndromes (RFA-CA-19-017, U01, Clinical Trial Required): This notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) invites applications for projects aimed at identifying best practices to improve case ascertainment and follow-up care of hereditary cancers, with the goal of improving prevention and detection.
  • Communication and Decision Making for Individuals with Inherited Cancer Syndromes (RFA-CA-19-001, U01, Clinical Trial Optional): This NOFO invites applications for projects that develop, test, and evaluate interventions and implementation approaches, or adapt existing approaches, to improve patient/provider/family risk communication and decision making for individuals and families with an inherited susceptibility to cancer so that they can make informed clinical risk management decisions.
