Cancer Moonshot℠ Funding Opportunities Related to Inherited Cancer Syndromes
Background
In this webinar, representatives from three Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) programs provide an overview of the funding opportunities below and answer attendee questions. Note: Grantee questions about specific research aims are not addressed.
- Approaches to Identify and Care for Individuals with Inherited Cancer Syndromes (RFA-CA-19-017, U01, Clinical Trial Required): This notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) invites applications for projects aimed at identifying best practices to improve case ascertainment and follow-up care of hereditary cancers, with the goal of improving prevention and detection.
- Communication and Decision Making for Individuals with Inherited Cancer Syndromes (RFA-CA-19-001, U01, Clinical Trial Optional): This NOFO invites applications for projects that develop, test, and evaluate interventions and implementation approaches, or adapt existing approaches, to improve patient/provider/family risk communication and decision making for individuals and families with an inherited susceptibility to cancer so that they can make informed clinical risk management decisions.
