The SEER-Medicaid Data File

Medicaid enrollment information is available from 1999 to 2020 for all persons who were diagnosed with a cancer between 1999-2019. There are two Medicaid enrollment files available during this time period. The Medicaid Analytic eXtract (MAX) Personal Summary (PS) file, which is extracted from the Medicaid Statistical Information System (MSIS), is available from 1999-2015 and the Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) is used to produce the T-MSIS Analytic File (TAF) Demographic and Eligibility (DE) file, which is available beginning in 2014.
