Norah Nguyen
Norah Nguyen is a rising sophomore at Stanford University studying Human Biology and Neuroscience. She is joining the Healthcare Delivery Research Program as a summer fellow and her mentors will be Roxanne Jensen and Kirsten Evans in the Outcomes Research Branch. Her summer project is to analyze cognitive abilities of cancer patients before and after undergoing treatment, using the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results-Medicare Health Outcomes Survey (SEER-MHOS) data resource.
Norah’s interest in examining health outcomes emerged as she grew up in Central California in a primary care desert. This drives her desire to investigate the ways in which research can enhance care delivery and treatment decisions for cancer patients, especially underserved populations.
