Veronica Chollette, RN, MS is a Program Director in the Health Systems and Interventions Research Branch (HSIRB) of the Healthcare Delivery Research Program. As such, she manages a portfolio of social and behavioral research-based interventions directed at multiple contextual levels to improve rates cervical cancer screening and HPV Vaccination among minority and underserved population; factors associated with disparities in Prostate Cancer, PSA screening and the downstream consequences following screening; and religion and cancer-related behaviors in Black Americans. She is a co-coordinator of the Healthcare Teams Initiative, which addresses multiple strategies to improve patient outcomes through the delivery of healthcare grounded in principles of evidence-based team research. For the NCI, Ms. Chollette oversees the Trans NIH Race and Discrimination and Multiple Chronic Conditions funding opportunity announcements. Other professional duties include reviewing informed consents for clinical trials, providing relevant career development support for NCI trainees and funding opportunity workshops for prospective NCI grantees.
Ms. Chollette received her BSN and Masters in Health Systems Management from George Mason University.
