Lindsey Enewold, PhD, MPH
Lindsey Enewold, PhD, MPH is an Epidemiologist and Acting Branch Chief of the Healthcare Assessment Research Branch (HARB) of the Healthcare Delivery Research Program. Prior to joining HDRP, Dr. Enewold worked for the US Military Cancer Institute assessing cancer incidence, treatment and prognosis using the Department of Defense's (DoD) linked cancer registry and administrative billing data. Her main focus was racial disparities within the DoD's "equal access" health system and the resulting implications for disparities that are observed in the general population. She received her PhD in Epidemiology with a concentration in Genetic Epidemiology of Cancer from Johns Hopkins University, a MPH with a concentration in Epidemiology from Emory University and a BS in Biology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. In addition to cancer research, Dr. Enewold has a background in reproductive epidemiology (her Master's thesis investigated early pregnancy loss), environmental health (she received a NIEHS training grant while at Johns Hopkins) and pulmonary diseases (her Doctoral dissertation investigated possible shared genetic risk factors for COPD and lung cancer). Her primary responsibilities in HARB are with the SEER-Medicare and other data linkages.
